On June 14, 2024, the Threads Lab team gathered for an insightful Cognitive Diversity Workshop as part of our annual retreat. The workshop was led by Alexandre Messager, founder of Human Leadership Humain, a consultancy dedicated to empowering healthcare teams by promoting leadership, psychological safety, and the value of diverse perspectives.
Through a series of engaging sessions, the Threads team spent the day learning how our individual thinking styles influence the way we work, communicate, and problem-solve. Alexandre’s approach helped us understand how embracing cognitive diversity - those unique differences in how each of us thinks - can make our team stronger and more effective.

But the experience didn’t stop there. The workshop was followed by personalized feedback and one-on-one sessions with Alexandre and his team to dive deeper into our assessment results and discover how we can improve our individual working styles and foster better collaboration within the team.
In the coming months, we’ll also be participating in a variety of fun exercises designed to reinforce what we’ve learned and sharpen our communication skills.

Overall, this workshop was not only insightful but also gave us a chance to connect on a deeper level and see how we can leverage our differences to work more effectively together. With these new tools and perspectives in hand, we’re excited to continue applying what we’ve learned to our projects and research!
